Explore Careers

Learn About Yourself

What careers am I interested in? Why am I interested in these careers? What am I good at? When I envision myself in the future, what does a successful career look like?

These are all important questions to help you learn about yourself so you can explore careers that align with your skills, interests, and goals.

Learn About Careers

If you haven’t already, take a free career or skills assessment to match your interests with careers.
Research these careers to learn about education requirements, salary, work environment, and more.

Use online resources or contact someone who works in the industry to learn about the typical workday before you decide on a career.

Choose an Education Path

Explore Financial Options

As you begin to search for an education program you need to explore financial options and determine the total cost of your education.

Will you need to apply for financial aid? Will you need to work part–time while attending school? These questions will help you choose a program that is right for you.

Research Education Requirements

Will you need to get an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree? Or should you attend a short–term apprenticeship or certificate program?

Choose a School & Program

Research local schools and programs that will help you achieve your goals. Find out if the school offers part–time, full–time, daytime, nighttime, or online options. Will you receive classroom or hands–on training or both?  Ask about financial aid and application deadlines.

Need to get your GED™ or enroll in language classes?

We may be able to help you pay for and enroll in a full-time or part-time program.
